Lottery win given to good causes

A £1.6m national lottery prize which was unclaimed by a ticket buyer in Scotland has been given to good causes. The winning ticket was bought in the Glasgow area for the jackpot-only draw on Saturday 29 April. The deadline for claiming the prize was on Thursday. The money has been added to the £19bn in the Good Causes fund. A National Lottery spokesman said: “We tried very hard to find the ticket-holder and it’s a real shame that they have missed out.”
